An Australian Love Story in Paros: A Two-Day Wedding Adventure
There are weddings—and then there are the weddings that stay with you forever. This beautiful celebration with an Australian couple who chose Paros for their destination wedding was one of those stories that unfold like a dream. Over two unforgettable days, we explored the island together, capturing moments full of emotion, laughter, and pure Cycladic magic.
Day One: Welcome Party at Searocks, Ampelas
The festivities began with a warm, seaside welcome party at Searocks in Ampelas. As the sun dipped into the Aegean, the venue glowed in soft golden light—my favorite conditions for documentary photography. Friends and family arrived relaxed and joyful, embracing the island breeze and reuniting after long flights.
Cocktails, laughter, and a chilled soundtrack set the mood. I moved between groups, catching the spontaneous hugs, the animated conversations, and the couple soaking in every second. The night felt intimate and effortless—exactly what a welcome party in Paros should be.
Day Two: A Boat Ride to Agia Kali Chapel
On the wedding day, we started with one of the most unique experiences Paros has to offer: a boat ride to Agia Kali, a tiny chapel tucked close to Naousa. The couple wanted something meaningful and adventurous, and this setting couldn’t have been more perfect.
As we sailed across the calm water, the anticipation mixed with excitement. The couple held hands, surrounded by their closest people, with Paros’ rugged coastline framing the moment. Arriving at the little whitewashed chapel felt like stepping into a postcard.
The ceremony was emotional and personal. Wind, sea, sun—everything came together in the most natural way. These are the moments I love capturing: unscripted, authentic, deeply human.
The Party of All Parties at Orbis, Naousa
After the ceremony, we headed back to Naousa for an unforgettable celebration at Orbis. If you’ve ever been there, you know the energy is something else. The reception unfolded with incredible food, heartfelt speeches, and dancing that didn’t stop until late into the night.
The couple’s Australian crew knows how to party—and Orbis provided the perfect home for it. The lighting, the music, the atmosphere… everything combined into a high-energy, joy-filled evening. As a photographer, these are the moments where I simply follow the rhythm and capture the magic as it happens.
A Love Story That Belongs to Paros
This two-day wedding wasn’t just an event—it was an experience. The landscapes, the emotions, the people, the island itself… everything aligned to create something truly special.
I feel incredibly grateful to photograph couples from around the world here in Paros, and this Australian love story will stay at the top of my memories for a long time.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding in Paros—by the sea, on a boat, in a chapel, or dancing under the stars—I’d love to help you tell your story.
